It’s okay to simply allow yourself and there’s no such a thing as “how much” – you cannot consciously control the degree of such fluid emotions as raw pain and sadness. You have to allow yourself to process them for as long as you need to. What will be occuring subconsciously is another story but it is definitely okay and it’s in fact mandatory to not shut out what feels present and honest within your heart. Pain is not to be confused with just sulking or mere negativity. Feeling true pain is not the same as indulging in moodiness. Everything has to be felt and internalized at the right time and it’s a cyclic process. The one thing that is to be avoided is wilful self-repression.
